What do the calls you miss cost you a year?

Five sliders, your own numbers, one figure. Then the three texts that bring a missed caller back.

Every figure comes from what you type, nothing else. We make free tools like this to be helpful. That is our marketing. When you want more, we are the ones to call.

About 6 of every 10 calls answered live, 4 missed. Move the sliders and the beads follow.

Your week on the phone

Slide or type. The starting numbers are placeholders, not averages. The figure updates as you go.

0 of 5 set
40

All of them, answered or not. Your phone log or your call tracking knows.

60%

The share you or someone on your team picks up, not voicemail.

25%

A voicemail you call back, a second try. Be honest: most callers dial the next listing.

$350

A typical invoice, in dollars.

30%

Of the calls you pick up, the share that become a job.

What the calls you miss cost

$65,520

a year, in calls nobody answered

24 calls answered live 4 reach you later 12 never come back a week

$5,460a month
$1,260a week
16jobs a month

Your phone rings about 40 times a week and you answer 24. Of the 16 you miss, about 12 never reach you. At a 30% close rate and $350 a job, that is about 16 jobs and $5,460 a month, or $65,520 a year.

The text that brings them back

Three texts for a call you could not pick up. Add your name and business once and they fill in.

Text 1

Within a minute of the missed call

The caller is still holding the phone. A text now keeps them from dialing the next listing.

Hi, this is [owner] at [business]. Sorry I missed your call, I am on a job. Text me what you need and I will get right back to you, or I will call you as soon as I am free.

Fill the highlighted [brackets] after you paste.

Text 2

The same evening, if they went quiet

Most people who hang up on a voicemail decide before the day is out. One more text gives them an easy way back.

Hi, [owner] again from [business]. I tried you earlier and did not want to leave you hanging. Still need a hand? Reply here with a few words about the job and a good time to call, and I will take it from there.

Fill the highlighted [brackets] after you paste.

Text 3

The next morning, then stop

One last door left open. If they found someone else, this costs you nothing. If they did not, it is the text they were waiting for.

Morning, it is [owner] from [business]. If you already found someone, no problem at all. If not, I have time this week. Reply with the address or a time to talk and I will get you on the calendar.

Fill the highlighted [brackets] after you paste.

Three ways to shrink the figure

Text back within a minute

A caller who hears voicemail is already looking at the next listing. A text from your number, sent the moment the call drops, gives them a reason to wait for you. The scripts above are the words; an AI phone agent can send them and take the call when you cannot.

Know which calls you miss

Most owners guess at the first slider. Call tracking on the number you advertise shows every call, answered or not, with the time and the source, so the figure stops being a guess.

Move the calls you can

Message buttons on your Google Business Profile and a text option on your site let people reach you without a live answer, on the days you are under a sink or on a roof.

None of this promises a number. It is what Offer looks at first when a business tells him the phone rings and the calendar stays empty.

Questions owners ask

How is the figure worked out?

Calls a week times the share you miss gives the missed calls. Take away the ones that reach you later. Multiply what is left by your close rate when you do answer, then by your average job. That is a week; the page shows it a month and a year. Every number in it is one you typed.

Is every missed call really a lost job?

No, and the page does not count it that way. The "reach you later" slider takes out the callers who leave a voicemail you return or who try again. Set it from your own experience. What is left is the calls you never hear from again, closed at the rate you close the calls you do answer.

Where do the starting numbers come from?

They are placeholders so the page is not empty, not averages from real businesses. Replace every one with your own. Your phone log, your call tracking and your invoices are the places to look.

What is a text-back?

A text that goes to the caller the moment you could not pick up, from your business number, so they do not dial the next listing. The three scripts below are the ones to send: within a minute, the same evening, the next morning. They can be sent by hand or set up to go automatically on your line.

What is on the share card?

The yearly figure, the line that explains it, your business name if you typed one, and the page address. Nothing else. It is drawn in your browser and downloaded to your phone; nothing is uploaded.
