The following article will tell you how to publish your blog posts and keep them in the public eye. There are some simple ways you can ensure that when people search for your posts, they show up at the top of the list.

You should always include a title that grabs their attention-think about what they might be looking for, and use keywords in your post to make it easier for these searches.

Next, create a great meta description that will entice them to click on your post! Finally, remember to include a clear link back to your blog on every page of the site so they can find you easily.

Trying out this new strategy is easy because all you need is an internet connection and a Google Search Console account (which is free).

To get started, all you have to do is connect your Google Analytics account to Google Search Console.

Then once it’s connected, just go to your Google Search Console dashboard and click on ‘Manage Site Content’ in the left menu:

Next, add a new piece of content by clicking the blue ‘Add a new webpage or URL.’ button.

From there, you’ll be able to add a title and meta description (this will show up in Google search results). Then once your page has been approved by the Search Console robots, just use Google to search for your content (by name) as if it were any other webpage. You should see that it shows up!

It takes a few days for Google to index your blog posts but this strategy will help you get found more easily by readers and potential customers. Happy blogging!

Now, in the above example, the content is all wrong for the voice, but you get the idea. The answer to the question: remembers that you are doing an amazing job here. This is not a test and it does not have to be perfect; just do your best.

When going through this exercise, I was really surprised by how bad some of my attempts at answering questions were. Don’t get down on yourself or feel bad about your first attempts.

Just do your best and practice makes perfect (or at least better). When you are starting, write a lot of answers! You don’t have to post any of them right away; I just made a Google Docs spreadsheet where I could track all the questions that took me more than a minute.

Also, your answers will be better if you do some research and make an attempt to understand the customer’s viewpoint. What is their problem? How can you solve it with content? What keywords were they searching for that led them to this question?

Don’t worry about writing a perfect answer; just try to understand the customer’s problem and try to solve it with your content. This is a skill that will come with time and practice.

Post in forums: By this point, you’ve written your first few answers on Quora, but maybe you are just done with writing for the day. This is fine; not everyone can write every day like I do. If you want to practice, another great way to do it is by joining and posting in communities on the internet.

I like to write for sites like Inbound.org or Growth Hackers. These are two communities that I have personally found helpful as a growth marketer with a focus on SEO (although everyone is welcome there!).

Again, the same rules apply. Just write a few sentences about your experience or opinion on that topic and see if anyone replies to you with some feedback. You don’t need to be an expert in everything!

One more thing you can do to get your blog indexed quicker is by manually submitting your posts on Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools.

This is something that I won’t recommend doing for all your posts, but if you have a highly in-depth piece of content or a new blog post, it’s absolutely worth the effort:

If you are coming up with new ideas for topics or ways to optimize your content, come back and remind yourself by typing questions into Google. Just don’t use your work computer for this!

Be intentional about learning: I think that you can see from the above examples that Quora is extremely helpful when it comes to writing better SEO copy for your website. I think that Quora is the greatest platform of learning that exists today and it can definitely help you become a better SEO.

However, Quora will not just give everything to you for free. I find that there are three basic principles one must follow if they want to learn from Quora:

Follow everyone who is an expert on the topic you are interested in following. Follow even the people who have just 1 follower, because maybe they know something that will help you. Don’t be afraid to follow a lot of experts on one topic – I follow over 200 people on SEO! This is not an easy task, especially because more and more people are joining Quora.

However, if you follow people in your niche or even in your job role, you will start to get answers that are helpful to you and they will often be the most upvoted answer.

This is extremely valuable information! Start posting on the topics you care about. I think there is no better way to learn than by teaching. Even if it’s just a paragraph or two, if you are writing about something important to you, it will come out in your writing. I actually think this makes your answers more valuable because you’re not just regurgitating what someone else already wrote – you are adding your unique perspective and experience that only comes with time working on a topic.

You can also learn about your niche on Quora and start answering questions.

Take your time answering the question, and don’t rush to write an answer that isn’t great. If you take a few minutes to really understand the person’s problem, you can often write something incredibly helpful for them.

When I want to learn about SEO, I ask questions like “what are the best resources for learning SEO?” or “which SEO tools do you recommend?”. Then I sit back and answer these questions, often linking to my own resources.

This is great for a couple of reasons:

You are answering the question that someone else has on their mind You can share your favorite resources with new people who might be reading A lot of times, even though you don’t get points from Quora, people will click on your links!

Even if they don’t click your link, you might be able to include a few of the resources you mentioned in your answer in an SEO post at work or on your blog. You get to help new people without doing any extra work!

You should always make it easier for users to find your content.

To close out this article, I want to share a story about my friend Noah Kagan from AppSumo: I only knew him through Facebook and Twitter until one day he sent me an email saying that he read one of my blog posts and had a question. He wanted to know if I could help him get his content indexed quicker.

I couldn’t believe how nice he was and I answered right away with a few tips that worked for me. It turns out, Noah Kagan is one of the nicest people in the world and after talking more with him, we decided to do an interview together about my SEO guide. (Here it is! )

This led to us working together on a project, which led to this blog post!

I think the lesson here is that even if you don’t have time to answer every single question on Quora (or in real life), you can always agree with someone’s point and offer some value. If they feel like your advice has helped them, they will want to help you.

Thanks for reading my post! I’m not sure how many people read this through the end but I really appreciate it if you did. Feel free to comment below with any questions you have or feedback you may have on Quora. Also, do me a favor and upvote my answers so that more people see them!

You should always make it easier for users to find your content. As a blogger, you have the advantage of being able to use SEO keywords in your post titles and meta descriptions so that people can find you when they are searching online! You also want to include links back to your blog on every page of the site as well as including a clear call-to-action at the end of each article.

The more effort you put into making sure this happens, the better chance you’ll have at driving traffic from search engine results pages (SERPS).
